Orrin Moved to Stage TWO!!

This was the biggest mess he has made in a long time!!
Spring Vegetable!

So I just barely moved Orrin to stage two solid foods!! He likes it for the most part, however, when we tried the chicken and rice he decided he wanted to make a huge mess!! He is such a big boy!! He is also sitting up all by himself. I am so proud of him! He has been doing it for about a week. He went from one day falling over everytime we tried and the next day he just sat up all by himeself. I don't know if I have good pictures, but I will put some up soon!

Mommy and Baby!!
Again... I love him!!
My Awesome Hat! LOVE IT!

My sister, her friend, Orrin and I all took a road trip up to Salt Lake City to find my sister a prom dress. We stayed over night at Little America and had a great time. We drove up Tuesday and Orrin surprisingly was pretty good for the whole three hour drive. We did some shopping went out to eat at Olive Garden, swam that night, then woke up to an all day prom dress shopping marathon. We ate at a cool Brazilian restaurant, (I don't know what Todd is complaining about eating that stuff on his mission, I would eat it every day for two years if I could!) Luckily found the dress and came home. We took tons of pictures of the great trip!

State Basketball!!

Two weeks ago we went up to Boise to watch my brother and the tigers at the state championship. We took third which is so great! They played hard and deserved the state title, but I am so proud of them. Orrin got to swim for the first time in a pool, unfortunately it was cold so we didn't stay in there very long. He also got to dress up in the cutest outfits ever.

First night there... Brazilian Food!

Todd and I were blessed again this year to get to go to Cabo San Lucas for a week. We are so grateful of my sister-in-law and my parents that offered to watch Orrin the whole time we were gone. We thought for sure we were going to bring him, but last minute they all decided together it would be better for us to be able to go alone. We left the day after Valentine's and spent Sunday through Sunday there. I missed Orrin as soon as we left and felt like such a bad mommy for leaving him, but quickly realized the trip wouldn't be as good as it could be if all I did was miss Orrin. We were lucky my mother and father-in-law were down there with their computer and we got to see Orrin over the web-cam. We spent the week with them, Brad, Amanda, and Jenny. We had a wonderful time and I can't wait to go again next year. Todd, his dad, and brother got to go deep sea fishing and enjoyed it for the most part. We got to go zip-lining which was so much fun and I am so proud of Toddey for doing it (he is very afraid of heights.) We also met a family down there that had a son the same age as Orrin. They we on the way to go to eat dinner every night selling chicklets and little things so we would stay and chat for quite a while. It helped with me missing Orrin to see a little baby about the same age. I wish I could have brought him home with me, I fell madly in love with him!! I am so blessed to have a husband that can give me the luxury of leaving for a week. It is much needed for him, and I enjoy it to. When we got back I went to get Orrin and he cried when I tried to hold him, I was even more sad than I was when I left.

Our first Thanksgiving and Christmas Together!!

Mr. Trash Stache and his Little Turkey
My little tiny!

Our cute family!

That is a normal face for my Toddey!

Mommy and baby!

We enjoyed our first Thanksgiving and Christmas as a little family. We went back and forth from family to family as we do for every holiday. Orrin was given his blessing a few weeks before Thanksgiving. Todd gave it and did a wonderful job, we are so lucky to have such a well behaved little boy and hope he grows up to be everything he wants to be and more! For Thanksgivjng we had my family over the day before to have a wonderful ham feast since we would be eating with Todd's family this year. As for Christmas we had a wonderful one. Orrin turned 3 months the day of Christmas and got many gifts. He got a Teddy Rumpkins, which Todd and I both had when we were little it's a little to high tech then just the old tape player they used to have. Orrin's favorite toy was a little singing sea horse he got from Grandma Tona. Todd gave me Ugg boots, which I have wanted forever and he got a ton of very tasteful greyhound art! We had great first holidays with Orrin and I am very excited for next year I'm thinking he will understand Christmas.

SEPTEMBER 25, 2008

We decided to go in a week early and have Orrin, he was expected to be big. Also, we really wanted to make sure Todd was in town considering hay season had picked up and he woke up at 3 in the morning and was gone until 5 or 6 each night. My mom and I went in at 8 that morning with Todd and my sister to follow at 9 or 9:30. They broke my water and 8:30. I was able to stand about 7 cm with no pain killers than had to have it. I started pushing at 7 o'clock and didn't have him until 11:04p.m. Fourteen hours of labor with four of it being pushing I was glad to see my little man. We spent the night at the hospital and went home the next day. I was in a long of pain for a few days after, but nothing could take the happiness away of finally having that little man in my life. We named him Orrin Porter Capps after Orrin Porter Rockwell, totally Todd's choice but i love it now. Orrin was born 6 lbs. 13 oz. 18 and 1/2 inches long.

Mexico for TWO WEEKS!!

We were extremely blessed and got to go for Mexico for our very late but needed honeymoon. We spent two weeks in between Playa Del Carmen and Cancun. I loved it and so did Todd. I was pregnant and unfortunately could not scuba dive, which I was kind of sad about. We visited a ton of different things and we really enjoyed ourselves. Todd's parents were down there, as well as much of his family. I will have to write more about it later.
