Time To Introduce...

Ms. Leila Soraya Capps arrived after only 3 hours of labor and 20 minutes of pushing on June 27th, 2010. She decided it was her time and that she wanted her own birthday, since I was scheduled for induction the following morning (my birthday.) Saturday night I just knew something was going to happen soon and decided to get out and mow the lawn (we have a riding mower,) clean the house up and finish packing up everything in the car. We went to bed as usual and I was awaken at 1 with contractions. I decided to wake Todd and let him know I was going to get in the bath to see if they would slow, well they didn't. They soon became stronger and I knew this was it. I called up my sister who was near-by at a friends house and let her know I was heading her way to get her so she could take me to the hospital so Todd could worry about getting Orrin to my parents. I hopped in the car hoping that I wouldn't have many contractions on the way to get Mackenzie because they were getting hard to breath through, luckily I made it safe and we headed straight into the hospital. I called in and let them know I was coming, but didn't know if I could stop to check-in. We arrived 15 minutes later and I went straight back to a room, luckily Kenzie had her camera as I had forgot to pack ours so she took a quick picture of my tummy for the last time. I was then hooked up to all the monitors and they took my vitals and decided to check me, well I was 8 cm and things went very quickly after that. Kenzie called Todd and said you better hurry up and go drop Orrin off and pick up mom this baby is coming quick. The nurses were running in and out of my room getting everything set up and then tried to give me an IV, which only took six tries and a few blown veins but they got it. My doctor got there about 3 and checked me and said you are almost a 10 if you need to push let me know. At that point I was in so much pain as it was way to late to get any kind of pain killers and completely distraught because my husband and mom had yet to show up. I couldn't do this without them, I COULDN'T! Luckily, they showed up and I started pushing 10 minutes later. I went through maybe 4 contractions of pushing and had her at 4:11 am, the funny thing is that Orrin was born at 11:04. They quickly put her on my stomach and the emotions rushed over me just as they did with Orrin, and the look of happiness of Todd's face is something that I will hold dear to me forever. It took a while to actually get a picture with me because while I was pushing my nose started bleeding and so we waited until I had a clean face to take some pictures. I spent about 14 hours in the hospital and was sent home with my sweet little girl. Here are some pictures of everything. Even of me feeding my two babies in the hospital bed.
